Boss Meta/Farming

How to win the boss event

Attacking the Boss

This is some r/antiwork material you’re about to read. Actually setting up defense for the boss comes in two parts: the boss’ skull attack, and the boss itself. Dealing damage to the boss is pretty simple - you just need towers that do raw MOAB-class damage. Each boss’ skull attack is different, so I will break that down further in the specific sections. However, there’s a general meta for farming and attacking that can be followed for every boss.

Also, very important note: spend all your fucking monkey knowledge points. They are EXTREMELY useful for the boss.

Normal Bosses

Normal bosses are fairly simple and you honestly can go pretty easy on the farms.

Tier 1: Sticky Bombs 104 ninjas for boss, and an alch (300 is enough) buffed recursive cluster 204 bombs for any bloons
Tier 2: Tack Zone 205 tack and Super Brittle 510 ice under some top path village
Tier 3: MAD 150 dartling with some tower like bomb or ice for clean
Tier 4: Dart Paragon
Tier 5: Dart Paragon + any other paragon (sometimes not needed if the map is easy enough)

Elite Bosses

Elite bosses are far more difficult and you’ll definitely need to tryhard the farms (but nothing over the top - I’m looking at you, punji, making $300k before round 40).

Tier 1: Tack Zone 205 tack and Super Brittle 510 ice under some top path village
Tier 2: MAD 150 dartling with some tower like bomb or ice for clean
Tier 3: Dart Paragon
Tier 4: Dart Paragon + Boomer Paragon
Tier 5: Dart, Boomer, Engi Paragon with fully buffed VTSG and some other bullshit towers

The main elite tier 5 towers you should keep in mind are:

  • Dart, Boomer, and Engi paragons on strong (degree 30 minimum, 45-60 optimal)
  • VTSG (with overclock and 2nd temple buff and permbrew if applicable)
  • Energizer
  • 250 Glue Storm
  • Cripple MOAB
  • Homeland

For the rest of the towers, you can just spam 204 snipers on strong, get random tier 5s, or just watch a guide - tier 5 elite is really hard.

Keep in mind this isn’t the only strat that works, and it might not even work depending on the map. In such cases, I’ve covered other alternative strats in the specific boss pages themselves. If the map straight up prevents heavy farming or the defense needs to be stronger, probably just go watch FenixKillah or something, since I won’t be posting weekly boss guides - this website already takes 12 minutes to update all the changes.

Farming

Note that I basically just created my own interpretation of Punji’s farm meta video, which pretty much works even if you’re a bit lazy like me.

Rounds 1-40

You want to start out by just placing 200 farms. If you have ample monkey knowledge, you want at least 7 of these before going for marketplaces. With less monkey knowledge, 6 farms is enough. After you have all the 200 farms, you want to start making marketplaces with all 7 farms. Please do not just upgrade them all to 202 then get marketplaces, just get one marketplace at a time. I’ve seen people just upgrade all their farms to 202 so often, like, the bottom path upgrades MAKE NO MONEY.

You can sell 2 or 3 of these for Tier 1 boss defense, but try and keep most of them around.

Rounds 40-60

After beating the first tier of the boss, you want to sell your boss defense to get 1 or 2 420 BRFs, whichever you can afford. Next, place down your two opolis villages and get them to 002 to spam down 023 marketplaces in their range (note that you only want 023 marketplaces if you have the More Valuable Bananas MK). Keep putting down marketplaces until you have like 10 or so, then go for a couple final BRFs (always go 320 into 420). Stop farming around r57 to afford defense for Tier 2. Again, you can also sell marketplaces to afford defense.

Rounds 60-80

Here, you want to sell all the marketplaces to turn one of your BRFs into a 520 central market. Then get an overclock and use the ability asap on the central market. Then get a shit ton of discount villages and more 420 BRFs. If you’re doing the elite boss, now is the time to start building up to your dart paragon. If you keep spamming BRFs until about r77, you should be able to afford the paragon by the start of r81 (if not, you can sell a few farms, again).

Rounds 80-100

At this point, you want to get your monkeyopolis. Make sure it’s at least an 8 farm opolis, but aim for 12 or 13 and remember you can overclock the village for extra range (this does depend on the map - if you cannot fit 8 farms into village range, opolis is not worth so overclock all your farms instead). Then you want your other village to be just a regular monkey city to boost the production of the opolis. Now you continue to build BRFs, and you can get a 025 wall street as well. This should ensure you are able to get a second paragon during the Tier 4 boss.

Rounds 100-120

Literally just keep spamming 420 farms until you can’t. You can also ultraboost the banana central and overclock other farms (since you need overclocks for engi paragon anyways). For the elite boss, you want at least 3.5ish million after selling all your farms (but not the paragons). If you do build the engi paragon, you want to do this a round or two earlier so you can put down the sentries and the paragon can overclock itself.

On Water Maps

On maps with ample water to fit 20 boats (or a tad less), instead of going for BRFs and marketplaces after r40, you want to instead sell your defense for a trade empire and 20 003 merchentmen boats. You also want to build 10 central markets to max out the trade empire cash gain. Then, just build 420 BRFs until the 3rd tier of the boss. After that, farming is essentially the same.

Engi Paragon Start

If you have engi paragon and want it to be a slightly higher degree, you can also use engi start and get it up to 014 for the bloon trap (and aim it at the start of the track ofc). You want to get the bloon trap around when you start upgrading your farms to marketplaces.

Paragon Degrees

Usually, you want to aim for degree 30 or higher paragon for boss battles, so here it’ll tell you the minimal sacrifices you need to get degree 30 exactly. Note that you probably should just farm pops on your tier 5s anyways so that it gets a degree higher than 30, because elite bosses will kick your ass.

Dart Paragon: Just build the 4 tier 5s and it’ll be degree 30 (the glitch wasn’t patched lmao)
Boomer Paragon: 41x 040 boomers
Ninja Paragon: 27x 024 ninjas
Boat Paragon: 20x 420 boats
Engi Paragon: 20x 240 engis

Note these values only work for medium difficulty (since the boss is only on medium difficulty, these are the only values shown)
