Boomer Crosspaths
glaive lord, pcharge, moab dom
Glaive Lord - 5xx
- Middle crosspath: +77% attack speed
- Bottom crosspath: +15% range, +1 damage to orbital and thrown glaives, can pop lead/frozen
Because the middle crosspath allows the boomer’s orbiting glaives and thrown glaives to attack faster, this will be better for quickly attacking targets, such as for MOAB-class. However, for bloon cleanup (i.e. super cerams), it’s much better to prioritize damage over attack speed, since each attack will gain more damage (including the oribiting glaives). Most of the time, however, you will be using the 402 boomer, so upgrading to 502 is just natural.
Perma-Charge - x5x
- Top crosspath: +9 pierce
- Bottom crosspath: +15% range, +4 damage, can pop lead/frozen
The issue with this upgrade is that getting bottom crosspath makes it amazing for single targets, since it can do 9 damage to MOAB-class and 17 with the ability. The only downside is that it has atrocious pierce, and makes it suck against later round cluster MOABs. However, the top crosspath cannot pop lead, meaning it can’t damage DDTs, meaning you need MIB, meaning no p mentoring. So, top crosspath is better because of the pierce difference (yes, pierce is actually better than damage here because of how little the pierce is to begin with), but you’ll just have to use a MIB or permbrew if affordable.
MOAB Domination - xx5
- Top crosspath: +9 pierce (reg kylie), +220 pierce and 50% further knockback (heavy kylie)
- Middle crosspath: +77% attack speed
The clear winner here is the middle crosspath. When using MOAB press, 204 is usually preferred because you’re able to place it along straight lines of the map, making use of all of its pierce. 024 would only be used if unable to find a spot for straight line MOAB targeting. The difference with MOAB dom is that the pierce is high enough that having faster attacking heavy kylies is much better.
